Greetings!
The FOSS Outreach Program for Women (OPW) is now open for applications
for the next internship round. The program is designed to attract
women, genderqueer, and genderfluid people to work on open source. The
OPW program provides a 3-month paid internship ($5,000), a travel
stipend ($500) to attend an open source conference, and a mentor.
https://gnome.org/opw
Applications are due Friday, November 1st. Applicants will be notified
by November 20th if they have been accepted. The internships will run
from December 10th to March 10th.
Please forward this email to your friends and programming groups!

The Linux kernel is one of the open source projects participating in
OPW. If you are interested in applying for a kernel internship, you
will need to follow the directions at:
https://wiki.gnome.org/OutreachProgramForWomen#Application_Process
Please read our kernel application FAQ to ensure you write a strong
application:
http://kernelnewbies.org/OPWApply
We are still filling in Linux kernel OPW projects for this round, but
there's already a few project mentors you can contact:
http://kernelnewbies.org/OPWIntro
In order to create your small contribute to the Linux kernel, you will
need to follow our first patch tutorial:
http://kernelnewbies.org/OPWfirstpatch
You can send in your application before you make your small contribution
to the Linux kernel.
Please direct any questions to the kernel-opw IRC channel on
irc.oftc.net or to the opw-kernel@googlegroups.com mailing list.
